I am Zachary Lee Peters: a husband and father first, and a bivocational pastor, writer, and painter in North Georgia.
I grew up in North Georgia, in the carpet capital of the world, and I still call this part of the state home. I studied history at Lee University, where I also earned a master’s degree.
Preaching
I am a Pentecostal preacher, which for me means I believe the Holy Spirit is still at work the way the New Testament describes. I preach through books of the Bible section by section, and during the week I work a day job. I publish my sermon manuscripts here in full so anyone can read, study, or share them.
Writing
I write both fiction and nonfiction. My science fiction novel Eden’s Fall is the first book of a planned trilogy. I have also written two ministry booklets, Guard Your Heart and The Response Remains the Same. I am drawn to Southern Gothic and literary fiction, and to stories set in the American South. You can find everything on the Books page.
Painting
I started painting in late 2022. Originals and prints of many pieces are available through the Paintings page.
Racing
I have been a NASCAR fan for as long as I can remember. My Memaw, a devoted Dale Earnhardt fan, passed that love on to me early, and Sunday races are still special in our house.
